CHILD TAKES HERSELF OFF RITALIN AND PROVES MISDIAGNOSIS
GB wrote. Dr. B: For a child who has "ADHD" and was diagnosed with "attention deficit problems". My daughter has taken herself off Ritalin voluntarily and got 7 A's and 2 B's in her 7th grade class and is on the honor roll. NOTE: (was off Ritalin ALL semester long). Does this "smack" of a "major mis diagnosis? Once again Psychology has it's head planted in it's @$$. Just thought I'd let you know your diagnosis when you were in KC (albeit brief) re: her being entirely NORMAL was the ONLY ACCURATE medical diagnosis we've encountered. Signed: GB.
