Hello-
I am not sure if contacting you is appropriate, but I am hoping someone can
provide some answers. My sister is in her 20's and is currently taking
Concerta. She was never diagnosed with ADD nor with ADHD. From what i
understand her doctor has prescribed concerta along with her antidepressant
in an attempt to help with her depression. The problem is, my sister has
used cocaine in the past and I am aware that she still does use once in
awhile. Her doctor is VERY aware that she still uses occassionally as well.
How could he prescribe a stimulant knowing this?? Am I correct in thinking
that in the long run this may set her up for additional problems. What can i
do to help her? What should be done? Please any feedback would be wonderful.
I appreciate it. Take care!
