According to a school district news release, medications prescribed for students were found missing from a locked cabinet at Eisenhower Elementary School Monday. A total of 169 stimulant drugs, Ritalin and Adderall, are presumed to be stolen. The pills are kept in a locked box, which showed signs of tampering, and are distributed to students by district personnel with written permission from parents and doctors. The release says that improper use of the drugs could be dangerous. Police are investigating the theft.
