was on Ritalin from age 4 to age 19, and then, from 19-20, was put on
Adderol (sp?).

At age 4, I was diagnosed with ADD, childhood autism, and mental
retardation, given no chance at all of graduating high school. They put me
on Ritalin and sent me on my way.

I didn't get off the stuff until I was 19. Then they put me on Adderol. By
that point, I had long graduated High School (with high honors), and had
moved on.

I was finally diagnosed with Bipolar disorder and put on Neurontin to treat
it.

The point is, if they keep on doping kids up with things like Ritalin and
Adderol, they put the persons themselves at risk by masking the actual
problem behind a fictional one such as ADHD.

I was on Ritalin for 15 years, and I am not sure, but I think it was the
Ritalin that made may have caused my present bipolar state.

I am not seeking a lawsuit, though. I am just giving you a reaffirmation of
your goals. I hope that through your efforts, no other person will have to
go through what I did.
