We have a 16 year old son who was diagnosed with ADHD many years

and family have been led to believe he is brain-abnormal,

He has been on and off medication(aderol, ritlan) for approx. 5 years.

caused 186 (FDA-reported) deaths, 1990-2000.]
We do not wish to give him the medication, but he has not been able to
succeed in school without it

"disease" belief that he is not normal, cannot function without drugs.
This
must be overcome and meds should be stopped due to accumulative risks, but
weaned with assistance of a physician ]
We are unsure what course we need to take. Can
you offer any advise on how we can help him succeed in school without
medication?
